Risk Solutions has been commissioned to develop and implement an operational risk management framework, christened OPERA, for International Power. This will enable individual power stations to benchmark their own performance against the rest of the fleet, and to identify and share best practice across the company.

VfM Review of Railway Safety The Irish Government is investing heavily in the country's rail network to address a significant investment backlog and improve railway safety. Over 1.1 billion Euros is being invested between 1999 and 2008 through the Railway Safety Programme, and Risk Solutions has been appointed to determine whether this is delivering value for money to Irish taxpayers. Independent Living In 2008, the Office for Disability Issues, as part of their Independent Living Strategy, is considering running two projects to demonstrate the delivery of 1) choice and control for older people with high support needs and 2) the transfer of resources from assessment and care management into user-led support, advocacy and brokerage. Risk Solutions has been commissioned to scope the options for design and siting of the two projects.
The Highways Agency has been set a PSA target to reduce vehicle delays. At a time when traffic volumes are continuing to grow, this is highly challenging and the Agency has been trialling a number of initiatives to improve the performance of its network.
